Risks
Learn about the different types of risks that Conduit strives to mitigate.
Custody Risk
Conduit uses well-known, reputable, custody partners for both its fiat and custody transactions including, but not limited to, Bitso, Fireblocks, and Bank of NY Mellon.
DeFi Protocol Selection
Conduit only partners with protocols whose platform code and smart contracts have been subjected to stringent audits by respected security firms.
These platforms have billions of dollars in TVL, and have a proven track record against cyber threats.
Regular reviews of smart contract code reduce risk of programming errors that can keep a protocol from operating as intended.
By exclusively utilizing the most liquid protocols and pools, funds are always available for withdrawal, even under severe market conditions.
DeFi Counterparty Risk
Permissionless DeFi
Conduit only integrates with protocols that provide 100%+ over-collateralized loans.
Permissioned DeFi
All borrowers go through a KYB process and are vetted by various stakeholders in the protocol
Compliance Risk
Handling regulatory complexity is a core pillar of our value proposition. We have received comprehensive legal opinions in all our target geographies and acquired all the necessary licenses & regulations before expanding into a new jurisdiction.
Our unwillingness to make compromises on compliance and regulation extends to the platforms we choose to work with. All our partners have a robust compliance function with the proper measures in place to support an evolving regulatory landscape.
Regulatory Risk
We have received comprehensive legal opinions in all our target geographies and acquired all the necessary licenses & registrations before expanding into new areas. Services for which Conduit is unlicensed would fall under the licensing of experienced, reputable, third-party providers wherever Conduit is offering its services.
